Burton’s all-natural, hickory-smoked recipe made it the #1 craft sausage brand in central Texas. But, in an over-saturated market, the Burton Sausage brand didn’t represent these qualities or stand out from the competition. In order to create a more unique expression of the company’s craft heritage, we went back to the basics to handcraft their new trademark. So, Steadfast Creative employed us to design a custom, handmade wordmark and lockup that would communicate all of these things. The new visual identity system utilizes raw materials and handmade illustrations to communicate the authentic blend of craft heritage and premium ingredients. The brand has simply survived for the past 42 years, but we fully expect the brand to thrive the next 42.
